ON-SITE SAWMILL TRAINING

Duration : From 1 - 5 days

Group Size : 6 - 12 participants per day

Description

This service is available to all sawmillers on a request basis.
Course content can be varied to suit the particular circumstances of the mill and the operators most in need of assistance.

The major emphasis of the training is on recovery, productivity and safe operating techniques.

Advanced sawing methods can also be taught if appropriate.

Performance assessment of process, equipment and or individual operators can be provided if required together with an overall assessment of the suitability of the mill's existing sawing strategies.

A written report for management is prepared at the conclusion of on-site training with recommendations for improvement and any desirable further training.

Note

On-site training should not be seen as a replacement for the intensive one to one training of operators that takes place at the Timber Training Centre. Realistically it should be viewed as an adjunct or starting point to such training.

Cost:

Tuition fee: $1,160.00 per day

Includes instructor accommodation/travel costs in Victoria.
