Description

This course introduces participants to the safe operation of the Line Bar / Sizing Carriage and log breakdown techniques which produce cants, slabs and flitches to optimise recovery on the resaw bench.  A heavy emphasis is placed on log assessment, cutting patterns, cutting strategies and measures which may be adopted to counter the effects of distortion.  Techniques associated with handling defects and defective logs are also included.

3.         Line Bar / Sizing Carriage Controls and Functions

4.         Recovery Optimisation Strategies

Assessment:   Will be by demonstration of skills and answering related questions.

The student fee is indicative only and subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment. Additional fees may apply such as student services and amenities fees.
