Description
This course enables forest growers to assess the level of pests and
diseases within a forest area, including animal populations, weeds, diseases
and pests. Additionally, it looks at the
work involved in trapping and baiting pests such as rabbits, foxes and rats.
This course is derived from National Industry Competency Standards for the Forest Growing and Management Sector of the Forest Industries Training Package 2005.

10. Bait and trap preparation
11. Humane treatment of animals
12. Completing and maintaining reports
