CERTIFICATE IV IN TIMBER PROCESSING

 

Duration:         Approximately 900 Hrs over a 3 year time frame, delivered via block release at Creswick.

 

Group Size:     Offered on individual basis. 
Class sizes will vary from 4-12 depending on Units selected.

 

Description:

This programme delivers high level technical and junior supervisory information to allow team leaders and junior managers better perform their jobs.  It is available via block release at Creswick.

 

These Units are grouped into:

      1.   Compulsory Core Units

      2.   Sector and Elective Units:

 

FPI40205 Certificate IV in Timber Processing - Qualification Requirements

A total of 14 units of competency must be completed:

·         complete the 3 compulsory units in Group A below

·         select an additional 3 units from Group B below

·         select an additional 5 units from Groups B and/or C below

·         select an additional 3 units from Groups B, C and/or D below.

Assessment must be conducted in accordance with the Assessment Guidelines.

GROUP D (Elective Units)

This group includes other units of competency from FPI05and/or other nationally endorsed Training Packages. At least one unit selected must be aligned to Certificate III, IV or Diploma level outcomes. One unit only may be selected from any AQF level. These units must be relevant to work undertaken in the Timber Processing and Production sector of the industry (including Sawmilling and Processing, Wood Panel Products, Timber Manufactured Products, and Timber Merchandising).

Cost  :  2012 Funded based on 900 student contact hours @ $2.17/sch. Total number of hours chosen may vary.
The student fee is indicative only and subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment. Additional fees may apply such as student services and amenities fees.
