CERTIFICATE IV IN FOREST Operations

 

Duration:         Approximately 2 years via block release at Creswick. 

 

Group Size:     Offered on individual basis. 
Class sizes will vary from 4-12 depending on Units selected.

 

Description:

This is a junior management level qualification with a considerable component of technical information.  Participants will attend block release at Creswick or regional locations which will be supplemented by on the job experience and assignment work between blocks.

 

These Units are grouped into:

      1.   Compulsory Core Units

      2.   Elective Units:

 

FPI40105 Certificate IV in Forest Operations - Qualification Requirements

A total of 14 units of competency must be completed:

·         complete the 5 compulsory Core units plus

·         an additional 2 units from Group A plus

·         an additional 7 units from Group A and/or B, which can include up to 2 units from a relevant Certificate III, IV or Diploma from an endorsed Training Package or State/Territory accredited course.
One unit only may be selected from any AQF level.
These units must be relevant to work undertaken in the Forest Operations sectors of the industry (including Forest Growing and Management and Harvesting and Haulage).

 

Assessment must be conducted in accordance with the Assessment Guidelines.
