Description:

This comprehensive course covers all major facets of Timber Manufactured Products, and you can select appropriate electives for working in:

Finger jointed/gluelaminated timber

Truss and Frame Fabrication

Truss and Frame Detailing

Pallet and Box manufacture

This program involves learning on the job and or at the Timber Training Centre, Creswick or truss software suppliers. (depending on units selected).

It consists of a number of Units which are aligned with the National Industry Competency Standards for the Timber Manufactured Products sector of the industry.

These Units are grouped into:

Qualification Requirements	A total of 13 units of competency must be completed: · complete the 6 compulsory units in Group A below · select an additional 3 units from Group B below · select an additional 2 units from Groups B and/or C below · select an additional 2 units from Groups B, C and/or D below. Assessment must be conducted in accordance with the Assessment Guidelines.

This group includes other units of competency from FPI05and/or other nationally endorsed Training Packages. Units selected must be aligned to Certificate II, III or IV outcomes. These units must be relevant to work undertaken in the Timber Manufactured Products sector of the industry.

Cost : 2012 Funded based on 650 student contact hours @ $2.17/sch. Total number of hours chosen may vary.
The student fee is indicative only and subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment. Additional fees may apply such as student services and amenities fees.
