SAWMILL TRAINING

CERTIFICATE II IN SAWMILLING AND PROCESSING
Duration: 400 hours approximately over an 18
month period

Description:
This traineeship is an
entry level training program designed for persons recently employed or seeking
employment in the Sawmilling Industry.
It has been developed under the Australian Traineeship System and is
aligned with the National Industry Competency Standards for the Sawmilling and
Processing Sector of the Forest Industries.
The traineeship
incorporates both on and off-the-job training and provides for recognition of
any relevant prior learning whether obtained through previous formal training,
work experience or life experience.
Course Content
The course is structured
into two major sections -
1. Compulsory Core Units
2. Sawmilling and Processing Units
FPI20305 Certificate II in Sawmilling and Processing - Qualification
Requirements
A total of 13 units of competency must be completed:

complete the 5
compulsory units in Group A below
·
select an
additional 3 units from Group B below
·
select an
additional 3 units from Groups B and/or C below
·
select an additional 2 units from Groups B, C and/or D
below.
Assessment
must be conducted in accordance with the Assessment Guidelines.

endorsed Training Packages. Units selected must be aligned to Certificate II

Cost : 2012 Funded based on 400 student contact hours @ $1.62/sch. Total
number of hours chosen may vary.
