CERTIFICATE II IN FOREST GROWING AND MANAGEMENT

 

Duration:         450 hours approximately over 18 month timeframe

 

Group Size:     offered on individual basis

 

Description:

This traineeship is an entry level training program designed for persons recently employed or seeking employment in Forest Growing and Management.  It has been developed under the Australian Traineeship System and is aligned with the National Industry Competency Standards for the Forest Growing and Management Sector of the Forest Industries.

 

The traineeship incorporates both on and off-the-job training and provides for recognition of any relevant prior learning whether obtained through previous formal training, work experience or life experience.

 

Course Content

The course is structured into two major sections -

      1.   Compulsory Core Units

      2.   Sector and Elective Units from the menu below:

 

FPI20105 Certificate II in Forest Growing and Management - Qualification Requirements

A total of 13 units of competency must be completed:

·         complete the 6 compulsory units in Group A below

·         select an additional 3 units from Group B below

·         select an additional 2 units from Groups B and/or C below

·         select an additional 2 units from Groups B, C and/or D below.

Assessment must be conducted in accordance with the Assessment Guidelines.

Cost  :  2012 Funded based on 450 student contact hours @ $1.62/sch. Total number of hours chosen may vary.
The student fee is indicative only and subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment. Additional fees may apply such as student services and amenities fees.
