Course
Duration : 3 – 4 days with
some assignment work
Group Size : 8-12 participants
Description
This course is designed to extend knowledge gained from attendance at the
basic course and relevant practical experience. Participants will learn to analyse and
correct drying problems, particularly with difficult to dry species.
NB: Participants will
be expected to bring samples of their own problem timbers for analysis and
testing with TTC's lab equipment.
Approximately half of instruction time will be spent on testing and
analysing results. Also
participants will need to bring some 600mm long pieces of well air dried or pre
dried timber below FSP for a high temperature drying experiment.
